What to expect
The official Minnesota written knowledge test includes multiple-choice and true/false questions about traffic laws and road signs. The June 2026 Minnesota Driver's Manual says the written test may be taken on paper or on a computer. At computerized DVS stations, headphones are available.

Fast Study
Use this order: Learn a small set → answer without looking → mark it → repeat missed questions.
Progress is saved on this device. A question becomes mastered after correct recall on separate practice attempts. Missed questions stay in the review pool.
Chapter 5 — Visual Recognition

Dad's advice
Advice is normally as good as what you paid for it. So getting unsolicited advice from your dad is tough — and it's even harder when he is right!
On the test: read the entire question, read every answer choice, eliminate answers you know are wrong, and don't rush. Picture the driving situation before choosing an answer.
